An unstructured minimalist heading style with soft loose folds.

Similar to a Flat Panel curtain but made with a discreet 100mm wide heading without the stiff buckram heading tape. Supplied with pin hooks placed approximately 5mm from curtain top edge and 100mm apart as standard, or request alternate positioning. Select a solid or sheer fabric with a soft handle for the best result in hanging. Attached lining is optional. Suitable for installation on rods, rods with rings or a track with curtain hanging below.

Contact us to confirm fabric suitability. This heading style is not suitable for very fine or thin sheers, very open weave sheers or heavy stretchy fabrics.

Relaxed Fold

A relaxed and modern heading style with gentle irregular folds.

Heppell Curtains & Blinds uses a soft 75mm wide white heading tape with gather hooks as standard, or request clear heading tape if preferred.

Select a solid or sheer fabric with a soft handle for the best result in hanging. Attached lining is optional. Suitable for installation on rods, rods with rings or a track with curtain hanging below.

Flat Panel

A simple and versatile curtain style. The curtain is made with a flat finish heading with no pleating or gathering.·

Heppell Curtains & Blinds uses 100mm wide stiff-hidden buckram·for the curtain heading and hooks are placed approximately 100mm apart or for looser draping request larger spacing between hooks.

When the curtain is hung, usually on a rod with or without rings, curtains with a standard Xl .5 fullness will sit in irregular gentle waves. For an almost flat curtain with minimal wave when closed, request less curtain fullness or for a curtain with fuller looser waves and more body and fabric, request greater fullness.

Suitable for solid and sheer fabrics and attached lining is optional.

Goblet Pleat

If you are furnishing a traditional or stately old home and are using a sumptuous fabric, a Goblet Pleat will provide a formal style to suit your room. Curtains can also be made without the sewn pinch at the base of each goblet. This heading style is known as a Cartridge Pleat.

Heppell Curtains & Blinds uses 100mm wide clear hidden buckram for the curtain heading and each goblet is filled with wadding to hold the goblet shape. Curtains are usually hung on a rod.

Suitable for solid fabrics and attached lining is optional.

Rod Pocket

A simple, unstructured and easy to hang curtain style. The curtain is made with a sewn in pocket at the top, to allow a curtain rod to be threaded through.

Our standard pocket size is 40mm and suits a 25mm curtain rod or select an alternate pocket size to suit your curtain rod. An optional frill above the sewn pocket can be added.

Suitable for solid and sheer fabrics and attached lining is optional.

pinch pleat

Pleats are pinched in groups of two with spacing approximately 10cm apart. When curtains are drawn the pleats stack back neatly, creating tailored folds.

We uses 100mm wide buckram for the curtain heading.

Pencil Pleat

A Pencil Pleat is similar to a gathered curtain in that a heading tape of one or multiple rows can be applied to gather the fabric into pencil style pleats. The main difference is the pencil pleat heading tape is 75mm wide instead of 30mm for gathered curtains, which creates a neater and more stable pleat.

We use white fabric gathering tape with or nylon transparent gathering tape for very sheer fabrics, is available on request.

Reverse Pleat

Reverse Pleat curtains are also known as a inverted pleat or box pleat and offers a contemporary look. This curtain style does not stack back as comprehensively as other styles. Evo curtains offer a similar heading style with a more condensed stack back.

We use 100mm wide buckram for the curtain heading.

Wave Fold

Wave curtains are similar to ripplefold curtains although they are made with a wider 80mm heading tape with inbuilt plastic hooks, provided by our customer.

They are installed with a wave curtain track or rod.
